The quilt square I created is a tribute to Rene's kindness and goodness. The heart is a universal symbol reflective of this sentiment. The word "heart" is stitched repeatedly around the large fabric-pieced heart in the center of the square. The world "heart" is stitched deliberately with two different colored threads emphasizing the words "He" and "Art". The subtlety and simplicity of this statement I think would have made Rene smile.
